The Wolfhound Experience was born out of our love for this ancient Irish Dog breed.
Our experience will share their rich, fascinating story and provide an opportunity to meet and view these magnificent hounds in all their splendour.
This breed are known as the gentle giants of the canine world as the old Gaelic adage goes they are
“Gentle when stroked, fierce when provoked” .
There are so many fascinating facts to share about this majestic king of canines, from their immense physiological stature as the world’s tallest dog breed, to their presence throughout history not only in Ireland but across the globe.

About Us
The Wolfhound Experience is an approximately 1-hour duration walking tour based in the St. Stephens’ Green area of Dublin 2. The tour will provide a unique opportunity for you and your family, friends or colleagues to have a personal encounter with a pack of trained Irish Wolfhounds and learn about their fascinating story and links to Irish history & Mythology.
Our pack of Irish Wolfhounds are also our family pets and are sometimes accompanied by their two “sibling” native Irish dog breeds Oscar, the Red Setter and Lady MacBeth our Irish Terrier.
